Educating Men to Educate Women for Employment

We are all aware of the condition of women across the globe. Every household has an example of women being abused. A handful of women are actually allowed access to education, made aware of their rights and given employment and remuneration like men in society.

It is really a sad turn of events that men and women who are equals are treated so differently in society. Very recently, we have all seen how Malala Yousafzai and Emma Watson have exemplified that women deserve the respect that is given to men in society.

There are several ways by which women can be uplifted in society.

Educate the Women

This is the best path towards the emancipation of underprivileged women in the remote or rural areas. The families into which these girls are born need to be educated and made aware of their responsibilities as their guardians.

In Ghana, many young girls are out of school because families are not aware of the fact that men and women are equal in society.

Ghana schools have taken initiative to spread education and have set an example that educating women is possible and achievable if done tactfully. These Ghana schools have boast nearly 20,000 students by introducing 1.5 cedis , i.e., £0.28 a day that includes food, tests, uniform and workbooks .

Involve Parents To Eradicate Ignorance From The Grass-Roots Level

Parents and family members should be invited to group discussions and awareness programmes so that they can encourage their girl child to receive education.

Girls should not be trained to submit to boys. Neither should boys submit to girls. There should be equal and mutual understanding. This moral principle should be introduced and followed so that equality can exist in society.

Encourage Women To Speak Their Mind

Each girl should be able to express her desires, fears, expectations and should be assisted so that her dream is realized. No one can control their bodies or minds except themselves.

Educate Men To Prevent Violence

Men in society should be educated so that they also understand what kind of ill-treatments women face in society which includes their own homes, school, colleges and their place of employment where there can exist abuse and harassments that are both physical and mental.

How Can You Educate Women Today

There are many young women who are victims of human trafficking and early and forced marriages. These women and their problems should also be looked into. Colleges should introduce courses that can help women who are exploited by society. For those who are under the additional burden of family life, they can learn from home after taking care of the young ones.

If a woman is employed so that financial needs are met, she can receive online education that will not insist that she leave her job and study. It is still a global problem that women do not receive the remuneration that is offered to men in society.

In such cases, these online courses are a cheaper source of knowledge that will later ensure that she gets a job that she deserves. The initiative should be taken by you. A little effort can transform the lives of millions of women.
